wishlists

watch out, household expense budget - itunes have created wishlisting...

and nicely built-in to the store, it is (more on the design and implementation of user-customed portals at some stage down the track)

first up on my wishlist is $16.99 to throw at the entire album by mountains - choral
then joy orbison - hyph mngo

all of fuck buttons - tarot sport (for the 10'00"+ olympians)

and the bug's life suite (instrumental) by randy newman
thomas newman's finding nemo
michael giacchino's up
all of john powell's hancock

then

maybe some more post-rock in the form of this will destroy you... maybe another budd/eno or yokota... more do make say think...

but, just to remind me that there is no one-stop-shop, off to yo la tengo's online shop to buy their "they shoot, we score" (best-named soundtrack music compilation of all time?)

and there's always the hundreds of items on my amazon wishlist...

one at a time and try not to get greedy

merry xmarse!

errata, news, angst

the identity dilemma. the unlikelihood that you have a total monopoly on the good ideas you have. the number of good ideas that actually are still good when sober, straight, genuinely awake...

i'm certainly not the only one to have found delight in 'anaesthete', 'anaesthetic' - interesting use of the term as almost a gender, in that blog there

christmas. chaos.

new music:

balmorhea - beautiful, mature. (remix by eluvium on the bonus disc)

and shlohmo's shlo-fi e.p. - available for free download (as at 22.12.09)

note:

apparently we were promised jetpacks not so great live, according to HEB on messandnoise

still addicted to:

halo ~ beyonce
don't stop believin' - the glee cast (lea michele, well deserved gg nom.)
roll up your sleeves - wwpj
death and transformation - john powell (hancock ost)

hoping christmas has mercy on me and my family, (and you and your family).

love

ba ba ba baaaaaaa

i am glad of bands who use "ba ba ba ba", in preferment to the "la la la" or "yeah" or "do be do be do" etc. such as my much-beloved the barracudas

and the brilliant 'summer fun'

here it is being disparaged on top of the pops

for quite a while i thought the brooklyn based the drums and their track let's go surfing was another example of a band using "ba ba ba", but they're actually singing "o-ba-ma"

still, it's always a good time to enjoy such a great pop track, which is uploaded to youtube by the film clip's director, for a pleasant change
